WHAT IS THE DAILY HELLO PROGRAM?

• The River East Council for Seniors provides a service for seniors who like the added assurance of a daily or weekly phone call. A volunteer will phone to share some conversation, daily news, as well as to check on thier well-being.

WHO CAN USE THIS SERVICE?

• Individuals must be 55+
• Individuals must reside within the geographical areas of North Kildonan, East Kildonan, and Elmwood. This includes postal codes R2K, R2G, R2L.
• Individuals must be willing to provide personal information to inform the volunteer of any changes in their schedule that would affect the daily phone call

WHAT CAN DAILY HELLO DO FOR ME?

• You will receive a daily phone call 5 days or less per week from one of our volunteers

WILL MY CALLS BE SAFE & CONFIDENTIAL?

• All calls remian confidential. Should it be necessay, volunteers have the information needed to call a back-up person and initiate a plan to ensure the continued safety of the senior
• For your safety, all of our volunteers have been screened by the River East Council for Seniors
