Who we are . . .
The River East Council for Seniors is a non-profit/non partisan organization consisting of individuals from agencies/groups currently providing services to seniors within the Council's catchment area ( R2G, R2K and R2L).

The Council exists to assist individuals ages 55+ in maintaining or enhancing as independent a life style as possible. The goals are:

  • To provide a forum for the discussion of needs, services and issues of relevance to Seniors in River East.
  • To provide public information on resources available in the area.
  • To identify service gaps and assist in coordinating an appropriate response.

Issues of interest to the Council include:
Transportation, housing, congregate meal programs, neighbourhood safety and anything else of concern to seniors in the area.
